The sociocultural salon-evening rediscovers the cabaret as a luscious and political form for contemporary discussion. It is the first production of the OMA Cabaret Workshop. It was co-created with many different inhabitants of the city of Altenburg during a six-week residency at the Altenburg Castle. The show is a shared dinner, a festive salon and an open search for the New Human.
Inspired by the historical Bauhaus, the imagined utopias and failed visions of the 1920s, the show is a communal search for the stories that need to be told today:
How do we want to live? What do we want to believe? What will be the tales of the New Human?
